Mexican boxing star Saul `Canelo` Alvarez has struck a deal with Golden Boy Promotions and DAZN to get out of his $365 million contract. Details of the separation deal were not disclosed, although Alvarez claimed damages of at least $US 280 million – which is the sum of the costs for the remaining eight fights in his contract. The agreement is also a global agreement, since it concludes a dispute involving several parties – Alvarez, DAZN, Golden Boy and De La Hoya. A comparison between Alvarez and DAZN, but not with Golden Boy, would have left open the possibility of long and expensive litigation. Comparisons usually contain a non-disparagement/confidentiality clause. The clause contractually prohibits the parties from exchanging information about the terms of the transaction. .
